Join us for Women's Health Weekend, a comprehensive 2 day event designed to empower women with the knowledge and tools they need to optimize their health and well-being.

Over the course of this weekend, you will explore various aspects of women's health, the impact of diet, lifestyle habits and environment on overall well-being. We will delve into a number of relevant topics, including hormone balance, gut health, healthy weight loss, including safe fasting practices, brain health, sleep, stress, mood and anxiety, cognitive health and how to mitigate the negative effects of environmental toxins on our wellbeing.

Our guest speakers will cover skin health, breath, pelvic floor health and menopause.*

We are Delighted to be joined by guest practitioners over the course of the weekend to offer additional workshops and individual practitioner sessions - this allows our attendees to curate a bespoke programme based on their individual needs. Our guest speakers will cover skin health, breath, pelvic floor health and menopause.*

  • Please note these sessions are at an additional cost.

  • Nicky is a Breathing Educator/Buteyko Practitioner and a member of the Buteyko Institute of Breathing Health. After training in 2016 she established The Breathing Clinic in Nelson and is one of only a handful of full-time Buteyko specialists in Aotearoa. She has considerable experience running her own clinic, offering breathing assessments using capnography and teaching courses for the public and for health professionals. She teaches groups and individuals, both in-clinic and online, throughout NZ and internationally.

  • Be prepared to have what you thought you knew about breathing turned upside down. For example, did you know the more you breathe the less oxygen you get? Were you aware that deep breathing is a western health disaster? Delve deeper into these seemingly outrageous statements and learn how Nicky was able to use her breathing knowledge to overcome a lifelong phobia of public speaking and 13 years of epileptic seizures.

    This fascinating presentation is of relevance to anyone who breathes, and particularly to those with breathing related conditions - asthma, hay fever, snoring, sleep apnoea, nasal congestion, chronic cough, anxiety, migraine, hypertension and impaired sporting or speaking performance.

  • Have your baseline breathing pattern assessed by a skilled and experienced breathing specialist with knowledge of both the biochemistry and the biomechanics of breathing. See your breathing pattern, rhythm and rate on-screen using capnography. Learn how your breathing habits and behaviours are influencing your health.

    See how your breathing impacts your physiology using capnography/oximetry.

    Using capnography as a biofeedback tool try any breathing techniques you use and see their impact on your breathing and physiology.

  • Ortho-Bionomy® is a form of a gentle, non-invasive body work which stimulates the self-corrective process within our body.

    As practitioner, I accompany my client in a process of recovery by building a bridge between the conscious and subconscious responsiveness and awareness; to assisting and supporting the client to become more aware of their physical sensations and use this awareness to identify possible changes to improve their daily well-being along with their ability to increase their self-healing practices.

    Self-Care exercises for the client to use following the treatment, help to reinforce what took place in their body and enables them to continue to integrate and implement those changes. Self-Care practices then become easier to maintain.

    The goal of Ortho-Bionomy® session is to release muscular, emotional tension and to provide a comfortable environment based on a relationship of trust between the client and the practitioner.

  • Bethany Shaw is an experienced personal trainer with over 14 years of experience in the fitness industry. Specialising in pre and post-natal fitness and recovery, Bethany has worked in various countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, Norway, and New Zealand. As a mother of two, she understands firsthand the unique challenges that come with pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

    Bethany's approach to personal training is rooted in kindness and nurturing. She believes in supporting and lifting up her clients through education and sharing her expertise.

  • During this session we go beyond the Kegal by understanding why the pelvic floor is an integral part of physical and mental health. We will then move with purpose to strengthen and repair the core & pelvic floor in a 60 minute exercise Mat class.

  • Jemma at skin health studio is a holistic practioner for skin health . She treats all kinds of skin concerns, conditions, disorders, and also helps with anti ageing.

    With 22 years experience in her industry she has educated herself internationally and works skin both internally and externally to develope a healthy barrier function and microbiome of the skin.

    Treating the route cause to the concerns is Jemma's philosophy rather than a quick fix or a band aid approach.

    Jemma prides herself on helping people achieve their skin goals and offers a hand held approach when dealing with more serious cases that need more guidance and help.

  • The Skin Health Studio’s philosophy is all about caring for your skin and yourself both inside and out. Our internal health is reflected in our skin. With this in mind, Jemma will talk to us about optimising our skin health.
